All of our lives are at the mercies of our emotions, they affect our decision, how we enjoy the world around us (or don’t), the quality of our relationships and to a large extent even dictate our success.

The Emotionally Skilled Life is a six-week online course designed to help you build confidence, clarity, and resilience in your emotional world. Whether you feel overwhelmed by strong emotions, disconnected from how you feel, or stuck in repeating patterns in relationships, this course offers practical tools and deep insight to help you live with greater ease and authenticity.
Each weekly session is 90 minutes long and combines teaching, Q&A, and practical exercises. Between sessions, you’ll be given simple but meaningful homework to help you integrate what you’re learning into everyday life.
What you’ll explore
1. Recognising and Regulating Emotions
Learn how to notice emotions as they arise and respond to them skillfully rather than reactively. You’ll develop practical techniques for calming your nervous system, staying present with difficult feelings, and creating space between emotion and action.
2. Understanding & Transforming Your Emotions
Go deeper into what your emotions are really telling you. This section explores the hidden patterns behind emotional reactions, helping you understand why certain feelings keep showing up and how to work with them rather than against them. You’ll gain insight into the beliefs, habits, and internal processes that shape your emotional experience.
3. Communicating and Hearing Emotion
Emotions don’t exist in isolation—they live in relationships. In this final section, you’ll learn how to express emotions clearly and honestly, without blame or shutdown, and how to truly hear the emotions of others. These skills can transform communication, reduce conflict, and deepen connection at home, at work, and beyond.
